ISPM-15 Heat Treatment

Export-ready pallets that pass customs every time.

What Is ISPM-15 Heat Treatment?

ISPM-15 (International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is a global regulation that requires all wood packaging materials used in international trade to be treated to kill pests and prevent the spread of invasive species. The most common treatment method is heat treatment, where pallets are heated to a core temperature of 56°C (133°F) for a minimum of 30 minutes.

If you ship goods internationally on wood pallets, those pallets must be ISPM-15 compliant. Using non-compliant pallets can result in your shipment being rejected at customs, quarantined, or destroyed. That means costly delays and lost product.

Our ISPM-15 Certified Heat Treating Process

ANA Recycle Bulls operates an ISPM-15 certified heat treating facility in North Chicago, IL. Our process meets all ISPM-15 requirements. We heat treat pallets to the required core temperature, verify compliance with calibrated temperature probes, and stamp each pallet with our official ISPM-15 certification mark.

Every batch is documented with treatment records that you can provide to customs authorities or include in your shipping documentation. Our certification is recognized internationally, so your pallets will pass inspection at any port of entry.

Who Needs Heat-Treated Pallets?

Any business that exports goods on wood pallets needs ISPM-15 compliant packaging. This includes manufacturers, distributors, freight forwarders, and logistics companies shipping to Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, and virtually every other country. Even if you don't export directly, your customers or freight partners may require heat-treated pallets.

We serve businesses across Northern Illinois and Chicagoland, providing both heat treatment of your existing pallets and sales of pre-treated pallets ready for export.
